FAQ

Locum Tenens

A locum physician can start generating revenue from day one! You pay one daily rate, you don't pay malpractice, the physician, vacation, benefits or withholding taxes. If you have a physician out for any reason, a locum physician can continue to provide quality care to your patients. Often a locum physician is MORE cost effective!

Fees are calculated by specialty, malpractice rate and length of time a physician is needed.

Together we will complete a Locum Questionairre reviewing your needs including specialty, dates, times, location, anticipated patient load, call and any special skill/procedure requirements.

We will need to get an agreement in place. With a signed agreement, we begin contacting our pool of physicians to determine their interest and availability.

As members of the National Association of Locum Tenens Organizations (NALTO),we abide by their Code of Ethics and Guidelines: verifying training and education, DEA, state medical license, OIG, conducting criminal background check, obtaining at least 3 references from colleagues who attest to the physician's clinical knowledge, clinical skills, patient and staff rapport, and work ethic.

Upon locating an interested physician, we present their credentials to you for review and approval. We proceed with a phone interview. If you decide you want a site visit prior, that too can be arranged. (You will incur the cost of the site visit)

The physician will have a Work Report completed and signed by your authorized representative. It is essential the Work Report is accurate for reimbursing the physician, calculating your invoice and insuring the malpractice insurance is in place for each day the physician works. We reimburse the physician every two weeks and you are billed every two weeks.
